The Award in Education training courses are designed for anyone wishing to teach/train/instruct adult learners. It is an essential course for anyone that:

 

• Would like or require an introduction to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or

• Are seeking career progression within their area of work or

• Teach on a one-to-one and/or group basis.

 

We recognise that it can often be difficult for candidates to be released from their places of work. Learners also incur the financial burdens of travel, hotel and other subsidiary requirements.

 

Carnelian Training offers the Award in Education and Training as a distance learning course via our unique online package. The online package has been designed to systematically guide the learner through the full Award, using fully narrated interactive sessions.

 

To complete this qualification the learner will be required to complete both theory and practical assessments. One of the practical assessments requires the learner to deliver a 20-30 minute Micro Teaching Session to a minimum of 3 learners, which can be delivered at one of our Training Centres or we can undertake the teaching observation at their own premises, however travel expenses will be incurred @ 0.45p per mile.

 

• Group A - Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training

• Group B - Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training 

• Group C - Understanding assessment in education and training

 

Who the Qualification is Suitable For?: - This qualification is suitable for those who work or wish to attain teaching qualifications within the Lifelong Learning Sector, further adult and community education, work based learning and the voluntary sector.

 

AET Training Courses Duration: - This is a roll on roll off course, so therefore learners can start the course anytime. The time frame for completion is solely dependent on learner commitment. Learners will be allocated a personal tutor who will provide guidance and support throughout the learning journey. 

 

AET Training Courses Fee: - The cost for the AET distant learning course is £470 + VAT per delegate (fully inclusive of, registration and certification).
